Values-In-Action (VIA) Programme

Every CPS Pupil is an Active Contributor

The CPS Values-In-Action (VIA) programme was designed to be In line with the school vision of our pupils as Active Contributors.


The Objective of the VIA Programme

To nurture every pupil to be socially responsible by contributing at home, in school or to the community


Approach

Age appropriate and sustained experiential learning.
Progressive development from home for P1-P2, to school for P3-4 and community for P5-6.

P1 – P2

◘ Understand the importance of one’s role and responsibility in the classroom and at home

◘ Understand the importance of being caring in the classroom and at home

Contribute at home

P3 – P4

◘ Understand the roles and responsibilities as a member of the school community and at home


◘ Know ways to care for others

Contribute in school

P5 – P6

◘ Understand the roles and responsibilities as a member of the local community

◘ Know ways to care for and contribute to the improvement of others/community (elderly)

Contribute to the community


Level Activities

There are termly VIA activities to engage the pupils throughout the year. There is also the use of ICT to capture pupils’ work and reflection online.
