Family Day Held for Respect Classes Parents

28 Feb 2015 By Ms Siah

Family DayChinese New Year is a time for celebrating and sharing. Parents from the Respect classes came for a time of bonding and getting to know more about the CPS families. They also learnt practical parenting tips from other parents to enrich their child’s experience in both in school and at home. After a sumptuous buffet dinner, parents networked with one another and attended a talk on 'Ties that Bind'. In this talk, they learnt how to build better relationships through a multiple approach, looking at the environmental factor and address the heart issues.

In conjunction with Valentine’s Day, while love is in the air, after the talk, each father and child team designed a personalised tea cup for the mother while the mothers attended a coffee talk on 'The 5 Love Languages' spearheaded by our committed and dedicated PSG Exco who were trained parent facilitators. They also wrote a love message for their families.  In the meantime, the little ones enjoyed their lego games and colouring activities. About 230 people attended the CPS Family Day and it was indeed a night of myriad bonding activities, celebration and appreciation for their loved ones.
