CPS Celebrates Racial Harmony Day with Inter-Class Chapteh Competition

23 July 2015 by Ms Woon Mei Hui

ChaptehTo commemorate Racial Harmony Day, CCE MT department had organised an Interclass Chapteh Competition. This level activity gave our pupils the opportunity to  deepen their relationship with friends from other races as they played together.

Pupils also learnt more about the background of Chapteh, from how it was started in China to how it became famous in Malaysia.  To date, Chapteh is one of the most popular game played by our forefathers both in China and Malaysia.

During CCE lessons, pupils also learnt about the rich diversity of cultures and how we could live harmoniously together in Singapore.

This was followed by a Chapteh happy hour session in the hall where pupils played with their friends from the other races.
