A website for parents and students to access the digital instructional resources used in the teaching and learning of CL in school. Except for the section containing pictures, videos and animations, resources corresponding to the various parts of the textbook are available for access.

5. The Chinese Language Word Games

The Chinese Language Word Games is a game portal that has been developed by the Ministry of Education. It uses interesting concepts of blending learning content into educational games. These games aid Primary One to Primary Three students in the revision of Chinese characters and words that they have learnt. The portal is accessible only with system generated password for students.

A Chinese Language website which provides a platform for pupils to learn Chinese Language in a fun and interactive way. Some highlights of the website include the “Picture Blog”, “Continuous Story Writing”, “Picture Blogging”, “Solve the riddles” and “Discussion Forum”. It encourages students to voice their views and express their thoughts. This is a great way to have stories written by children, for children.

“我的华文动漫书”由创新科技公司与泛太平洋教育出版社合作,以《小学华文》教材为内容,在互联网上利用语言处理技术,引导用户进行朗读练习,并结合多媒体呈现方式,提供“浮动型”电子词典。用户必须缴付年费,才可上网使用。 现附双语版。

 

7. The iFlashBook: an Online Interactive CL Textbook

Developed by Creative Technology Limited, the iFlashBook features the Chinese Language Textbooks for Primary Schools published by Panpac Education Private Limited, now known as Marshall Cavendish (Singapore) Pte Ltd. It employs speech recognition technology to guide pronunciation practices, comes with a “floating” electronic dictionary and uses a multimedia mode of presentation. Yearly subscription is required. The iFlashBook is now available in bilingual version.

8. “Happy Reading Express – School-based Reading Curriculum Guide”

(Singapore: Lingzi Media PTE LTD, 2008)

This publication documents the efforts of teachers who participated in the “Happy Reading Express” Project from 2006 to 2007, and includes practical resources such as lesson plans and worksheet exemplars etc. Teachers may recommend it to parents and the public. A shortlist of books was first drawn up by established publishers and teachers who have been active in promoting student reading programmes in school. The selected books were then sent to the Curriculum Planning and Development Division for approval and official recommendation.

 

10. 大拇指:适合小学三年级至六年级学生阅读的报纸 新!

培养学生看报习惯的理想资源。适合小学三年级至六年级的学生阅读。内容配合学生的语文程度和阅读趣味,印刷版包括缩写的新闻、活泼的漫画和可在网上配对阅读的故事和练习。
